With seemingly no end in sight, it has been over 6 months since the pandemic reached all corners of the Earth and traumatized every community, leaving many of us devastated and feeling a newfound sense of loss, frustration, and anxiety towards the future. Hong Kong is no exception.

Like many other countries, the economy of Hong Kong took a hard hit as the government imposed quarantine restrictions upon many businesses from operating in order to quickly combat the third wave. According to polls and surveys conducted two months ago, more than half of Hong Kong’s local restaurants and eateries faced immediate closure and near bankruptcy due to the third wave of the pandemic.

The catering business suffered immensely as well as other businesses. Every sector of every industry was affected by this pandemic and its effects still haunt these businesses as customers have grown fearful and anxious towards them, resulting in a low visiting rate. As we continue to live through this pandemic and look for time to pass with hopeful news, Raze is proud to look back and see that we have made a positive impact on our community and has been continuously doing so. During the pandemic, Raze did not back down, we fought fiercely alongside our community with Raze Inside, an industrial-strength formula developed with the objective to heavily safeguard businesses to restore a sense of safety and trust the pandemic has robbed us of. Raze Inside has successfully safeguarded sectors such as schools, eateries, medical clinics, public transportation, personal services, hotels, and so much more.

 

 

The experience of providing these local communities and businesses with a safeguarding shield meant everything to us at Raze because we were able to bring our backed-by-science formula to those in need of it the most. The democratization of photocatalyst nanotechnology and being able to make this technology accessible has always been something Raze is truly proud of and stands for.

One of our most memorable moments during our Raze Inside campaign was visiting the legendary — Kam Fat Mahjong Shop. This long-standing artisan Mahjong Shop has been a staple in Kowloon City ran by Madam Ho Sau Mei. She specializes in hand carving artisan Mahjong sets, preserving a traditional art form that has been increasingly difficult to preserve especially with today’s climate. Our Raze Inside team traveled to Madam Ho’s shop to interview her and provide her with our Raze Inside service so her exposed workspace can be safeguarded.
